Life Update

So it’s been quite a while since my last post and I’m gonna tell you why, (not because I think you care, or because you’ve been dying to read more about the depths of my mind, but because I felt like explaining why I haven’t been blogging for two weeks).

First of all, then I’ve been swamped with preparations for my Konfirmation that took place on May 7. If you don’t know what a ‘Konfirmation’ is, then I’ll explain it to you real quick.

It’s a Danish tradition I think, but maybe they also do it in other northern countries, (I’m not quite sure). It’s kind of like a quinceanera or a bat mitzvah, where you celebrate the moment you enter adulthood, while also performing a ceremony in church where you confirm your baptism and your belief in God. Traditionally you wear a white dress if you’re a girl, but I wanted to do something different, so I went with a suit and tie instead. And if I have to say so myself, I looked bomb as fuck 😛

So I did that, and then in the afternoon we celebrated with throwing a party for me. I baked up to 4 days in advance and there was a lot of stuff that had to be done, so I didn’t have that much time.

Then on Sunday I had to go to my cousin’s Konfirmation and then on Monday it was ‘Blue Monday’. That’s yet another tradition, which basically is just a day off school, where you celebrate with your class and you do something fun with your day off. We went to an amusement park.

And then after that, (because yeah, there’s more), on Tuesday I went on a school trip to Nice in France with my french class and I only just got home yesterday.

So yeah, I’ve been pretty busy lately, but I’ve also had the time of my life.

Hopefully I’ll be back to posting stuff a little bit more regularly, but then again it’s hard to say, because you never know when inspiration strikes.

I hope you’ve had a great couple of weeks too!

  1. It sounds to me like you were doing exactly what you were meant to be doing. And you had a great time doing it. I often read bloggers apologizing for not posting. Are you sure readers even notice? I personally blog-hop a lot, and prefer to read blogs that are current. I don’t necessarily think you have to post everyday; especially when “life” is happening and you’re having this much fun. I suspect when you have something to say, you’ll post, and I’d rather you post when that is the case. More interesting to read I promise!

    1. I totally agree with you! And really I don’t think people notice either:P It takes the pressure of a bit, I think, if people only posted when they felt inspired and actually wanted to write something, it would be a lot better! Thank you for commenting:)
