The Blogger Recognition Award

I was nominated for yet another award! (Because apparently people like to nominate me for that shit:P Can’t say I’m complaining though).

The award is called the blogger recognition award, (if the title of this post didn’t make that obvious), and I’m very thrilled and thankful for the nomination.

I want to thank meharmalhotra, (https://meharmalhotra.wordpress.com/), for nominating me, it truly does mean a lot.

A “brief” description of my journey as a blogger:

It all started with a horrible writers block and too many expectations I’d subconsciously created for myself. I couldn’t make myself write the things I wanted too, so I thought blogging was a way for me to still be writing at least something, and maybe also have a bit of fun with it.
I also started my blog as a way to challenge myself. I wanted to see if I was able to not make it into this whole big “thing”.
You see, every time I do something I usually end up having this very unhealthy relationship to the thing. I wanted to see if I’d be able to not make any rules for myself, (you know post every Tuesday, Thursday and so on), and I wanted to see if I was able to just be me, and write whatever the fuck I wanted.
I wanted to not have to apologise for anything I wrote, the times I posted or the amount of the posts.
So far I think I’m doing pretty well. Soon I’ve done this for 4 months, and I haven’t quit yet or felt pressured, so that’s pretty great.
I feel like I’m winning this challenge to myself, and honestly I quite like that feeling!

My (obviously) useful advice to fellow bloggers:

The biggest tip I can give you is to write what you want to write about.
If you don’t like the stuff you’re writing about or at least have an oppinion about it, then writing the post is gonna suck a lot, and you’ll probably end your blogging career fairly quickly.
Another advice I have for you, if you’re desperate for followers, is to make yourself be seen. You can’t just sit back and relax, expecting all the followers to come to you unsolicited.
You have to work for it. Go check out other people’s blogs, comment, like and spread positivity in the community.
Then I promise you at least some people will show interest in the things you write as well:)

And now the bloggers I nominate:

Zoe169 – https://zoe169.wordpress.com/
Mychoice360 – https://mychoice360.wordpress.com/
myhappycornerblog – https://myhappycornerblog.wordpress.com/
theanalyzedlife – https://theanalyzedlife.wordpress.com/

To those of you who choose to accept the award, here are the rules:

1.Write a post to show your award.
2.Thank the one who nominated you.
3.Briefly describe your journey as a blogger.
4.Give advice to other bloggers.
5.Nominate the deserving ones

  1. A big congratulations to you for this nomination! I started my blog for very similar reasons as you did. I was holding myself back in terms of my writing because I was so hard on myself and set my own expectations far too high. This blog is my release! I finally feel as though I can just write whatever the hell I want.

  2. Congrats. I just started blogging, and I plan on using it to express opinions and have fun with it as you said. I am going to write my thoughts without worrying.
